I really want to like this game, the concept is fantastic and the combat is really fun. However, the difficulty is simply way too high to be enjoyable. I don't mind difficulty in games most of the time, so long as it's skill based, but so much in this game seems to be down to the flip of a coin. You're as likely to be sucked into some abominable disaster as to find some fuel lying around. I like all the dangers that are found around but they need to be much rarer than they are. For example, in the game FTL, which I assume this game is somewhat inspired by as it shares many similarities, there are many space battles and hazards, but the battles are usually winnable as long as you play with skill and attention and the hazards are generally risks that you can choose to take. The experience is much fairer and when you die horribly it's usually your own fault. In this game, I literally died on the first sun I went to, as each planet had a hazard that took off a huge chunk of hull. There was no way of knowing what these planets contained so I couldn't avoid them. If you could reduce the regularity of these hazards and maybe balance up the combat just a tad it would bump this up to 5 stars, for me at least. Maybe not making every alien race a homicidal douchebag would help too, but there's an aspect of that I kind of like. Of course a few bugs here and there, the vanishing inventory bug that someone else mentioned happened to me too, but it didn't matter much because I was vaporized immediately afterwards. Overall a fun game with huge potential that just needs a little balancing. Keep up the good work.
